Description

"Starry Night" (Dutch: De sterrennacht) is a painting by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, painted in June 1889. Since 1941 he has been kept at the MoMA Museum in New York. The picture is often reproduced.
"Starry Night" is not Van Gog's first attempt to portray a night sky. In 1888, in Arles, he painted "Starry Night over the Rhone". He wants to portray the star night as an example of the power of imagination that can create a more amazing nature than one that we can perceive in the real world. In one of his letters he describes the plot of the future picture as a starry night with cypress trees and probably over a field of wheat. The painting is painted in San Remi where the artist is being treated at that time.

The reproduction of Van Gogh's painting is a high-quality print on an Italian eco ink jar. The canvas is folded over the back to the size of 30x40, and above this size is stretched on a subframe. The picture is arranged with a luxury frame.
